Born and raised in Vancouver, Shane has been DJing weddings and special events with About Town Entertainment for over 10 years. A staple in Vancouver’s nightlife scene, Johnny Awesome holds multiple club residencies while pursuing his passion for music production. With a love for '90s hits, house music, and everything in between, he brings energy, versatility, and professionalism to every event—making him a standout choice for weddings and special occasions.

With a background in events and a degree in marketing, joining the About Town team was a natural fit for Laura. She’s the friendly face behind the scenes—managing inquiries, coordinating events, and keeping everything running smoothly for our DJs and musicians.

With over 20 years of experience, DJ Relly Rels brings technical precision, deep musical knowledge, and unmatched energy to every set. A seasoned pro, he’s known for reading the room and blending genres with ease—whether he’s playing a packed club, a wedding, or a private event. Based in Vancouver, he’s performed across Canada, the U.S., and Asia, and holds long-standing residencies at top local venues. DJ Soo steadfastly (some say stubbornly) refuses to be pigeonholed in any specific genre or style. Long considered one of Vancouver’s best party-rocking DJs, Soo has spent the last decade perfecting his craft and honing his skills – mixing, cutting, scratching and blending a range of different styles while keeping heads nodding and bodies moving. Equally at home in front of a packed dance floor as he is an intimate lounge, Soo is known as much for his unique musical selection as the intricate manner in which he weaves the music together.

A chameleon in style with a vast catalog, Ruel has curated acts including 7 string fingerstyle guitar/looping, 8 string guitar/drum sample looping, classical, Spanish and jazz guitar. Whether it’s his use of his 7 or 8 string guitar to fill a room, intricate live looping arrangements as a modern “one man band” or soothingly energetic finger style arrangements, Ruel can create the unique atmosphere that is fitting for any scene.
